Can you access the fuel pump and fuel filter on a 2004 Grand Am SE1 through the backseat to replace them?

Should be accesable in the trunk just like a grand prix.

No. It not accessible through the inside of the car. I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand am and have noticed you have to go from underneath the car and drop the tank to do so

I removed the back seat & used a hand grinder with a 4" fine cement blade to cut. The fuel pump is under the center hump. I suggest a Dremel or smaller tool with better control of cut depth as there is only 1/8" of space between the metal & pump.
