Just put new fuel pump in pontiac grand am 2004 keeps blowing fuse

was the tank fulla dirt? did you clean it out? howbout the filter??? every connector is suspect now if you are heating the circuit up to repeatedly blow the fuse. the pump connector, the floor connector,check for loose relationship of connector pins(from testing or rough handling). and each inside floorboard connector working your way back to the power distrib center. running amp req. tests with a meter is shown in u-tube vids.
If your new pump is immersed in a dirty tank? back to the drawing board. do you have gas buddies ? get a locking gas cap to slow some of them down. change the filter about every 15K
Oh, and buy fuel at a reputable name brand clean station with good additive package and clean trucks. ( puregas.org ) can help you find fuel of the good quality, and which stations in your area you may want to choose. state, city, street, address. its about the ethanol and how to avoid it for an all around less expensive experience.
