Can I use Premium Gas

Asked by Aviance Mar 31, 2017 at 09:17 AM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Am GT1 Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I notice that my car eats up gas quickly. So I was
wondering can I put premium gas in there to control
that from not happening so much. (Grand Am GT

Not going to make that much of a difference. May just need a tune-up, or if you want to check on things, cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensor with a MAF spray cleaner and changing the air filter, plus cleaning the throttle body and tightening up the intake manifold bolts would help.

I WOULD GO WITH A COMPLETE TUN-UP ON THE CAR, CHECK YOU TIRE PRESSURE AS WELL !

Premium gas will do nothing except drain your wallet. Put your money into a tune-up if it has been a while since it was last done.
