I have A 1998 Grand Prix GTP, which was in a accident. A friend of mine has a 1993 Grand Prix. How much difference between the two cars?
Can I take parts from my 1998 and use them on the 1993 ( Motor & Transmission )

Hello The base engine on the 1993 was a 3.1L 140 hp V6, and it was available as a 3-speed automatic, 4-speed automatic, or 5-speed manual transmission. The 1998 GT had a 3.8L 195 hp V6, was was only available as a 4-speed automatic. The engines were similar, but not identical. Swapping will depend in part on the transmission of the 1993 and related wiring. However, it looks like this swap is definitely do-able! Best of luck! CarGrrl

are u smoking crack the body style is totaly fuckin different dont ask stupid questions like that
First, there are quite a few things that are different between the 93 and your 98 Grand Prix. Aside from the obvious differences in the exterior, interior, and other asthetics, almost everything is different. However, the motor from your 98 GTP can be used in the 93.
