i have a 96 Grand Prix with a 3.1 and want to know if i can swap it out with a 3800 with a stock supercharger

Agree. It's not worth doing the conversion. You are basically rebuilding the car from the ground up. As well as everything mentioned above you also need to change the fuel pump to the two stage one used in the supercharged cars. GTPs are not hard to come by. Sell what you have, but a nice GTP and spend the time and money you would spend on the conversion project on customizing it to your taste. You will have an awesome car at a fraction of the price. Plus you'll have it now instead of 3 years from now if and when you finally manage to finish the project.
