In 2005 Pontiac Released the GXP With the 5.3 LS4 V8. But it was heavily modified. The crankshaft in these engines were actually shorter than the RWD/AWD. 5.3's You can make a GXP clone of your GT1 But you will need everything from a GXP Or a GXP enfine management system, engine trans and cradle. Plus aftermarket brakes, suspension, etc...

Save yourself!! Sell your GP and buy a factory performance car. Modify it if you want still more. Building your own is not a practical option for you.

Take the computer, wires and engine out of an SS impala or a gxp Pontiac grand prix and it should work just remember that the transmission cases that were manufactured for the 5.3 fwd would usually strip out because of the torque.be sure to get a reinforced transmission case if you're considering running this car hard
