Asked by Nick Jun 12, 2018 at 03:51 PM about the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Car Customization

i have a 2008 Pontiac grand prix and i just
turbocharged it. Instead of going to a dyno shop
and spending a couple hundred dollars on tuning. I
was wondering if I could just buy a 2007 GT
supercharged ECU and run that for the time being.
Considering its already map with all the good stuff
like different injector pulse width retarding the
timing Etc. pretty much set up for Boost. So to
recap can I take a 0 7 ECU with a supercharged
engine and put it in my 2008 base model and will it
run? Or does my harness need plugs and sensors
added to it?

You are on your own on this one. I seriously doubt a supercharged ECU would help you at all. A custom tune is the only way to get your car running correctly.
