I am getting no electrical activity in my GTP

Asked by Stendeck Dec 15, 2014 at 04:43 PM about the 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 Dr GTP Supercharged Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I put the key in yesterday to start it up, and nothing! Not even a click! The key got stuck,
and I couldn't get it out. (Found the fix for that here, TY!) But no electrical activity at all!
No door/roof lights. Nothing on the dash, and the locks don't work. I have a new battery,
less than 6 weeks old! Any help?!?

Yes. Check your battery connections. One may not have been tightened properly when the battery was changed. But more likely you left something on in your car and drained the battery until it is completely dead. You need jumper cables and another care to boost it and then let it run for about half an hour so it charges up again.
