i opened my sunroof and it wont close

i opened my sunroof and it wont close.to me it looks like it opened too far. when i hit the button to close it moves shut about an inch and drops down and stops. then if i hit the button to open it moves back about an inch and that is it. back and forward about inch.

The motor to move it is probably broken. Get another person and push on it well someone hits the close button. Hopefully it closes. Good luck and don’t open it again.
