It all depend,s on how bad the battery is,usually over nite sitting would kill a bad battery,
This is the first time it has just stopped, we just replaced the mass air flow censer, and the service engine light is off now. So I was just curious , they didnt say the battery was bad. I do know that she does not let her car fully warm up in the morning. and the temp is dropping in wis. thank you for your feed back
There should not be any load on the battery when the car is off, so the car should start. A few things though.. If it's a battery that is going bad, there are no guarantees. It could die just sitting there or not have enough in it to turn the car over. Also, be sure the alternator is charging. Without the alternator charging the car will start with a charged battery and run for a while before the electrical system drains it and leaves you stranded.
Thank you both. her car started right up this morning , it just turned off while parking when she got to school, weird. So fingers crossed it starts up tonight after she gets off at 9 !
Be on stand by with the jumper cables ;)
