Automatic window

Asked by Gabriela Nov 10, 2018 at 08:54 AM about the 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My window rolled down, now it’s stuck down.
It is 18 degrees outside, how can I rig it to go
up for now, until I figure out the issue.

It is probably the window motor. If it is weak, the cold weather will aggrevate the situation. Try "helping" the motor by pulling up on the window while operating the "up" switch. If that does not work, you will need to electrically troubleshoot the circuit to determine if it is the motor or switch that is the problem. Until you fix it, tape up the opening with some mylar film to keep out the cold.
