Car not running right

I have a 2000 grand prix se 4 door. at
random hot cold drive all day or just
get in the car will spit and sputter
when u hit the gas sometimes it will
stop other times u have to turn it off
for a bit. just changed fuel filter was
told maybe a fuel pump is this a
option if not what else might it be?

Get your fuel pump pressure checked. It's odd that the car started to act up after you changed the fuel filter. Hummmmmmm

Check the fuel pump,for pressure,then a lot of this year model grand prix,the Ecm have gone bad.
