Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is running hot. Ive changed the radiator, thermostat. the heater is coming on so i guess the water pump is working. I was told that water is getting in the engine. the radiator is still full so how can water be getting in the engine to make it run hot?

do your fans switch on when the temp gets above half way? your fans may be bad I do believe that Pontiac had electric fans in them. does it over heat at a stand still or does it overheat while driving too? if it is only at a standstill it might be because of the fan

it over heats at a standstill, then on the take off its goes down then it go back up.One of the fans do not come on

would that make water inter the engine? its not on the oil stick but on the oil cap

I'm having this same problem. So are you saying when the car is idle or in park only one fan should be on?
