had a used engine put in my 2002 GP. left the shop. now when I go left or straight, it sounds like a truck, took it back 5 times, they kept saying number 6 spark plug ( which was changed 3 times. only time it isn't loud is when I turn right. currently it's louder! was told could be wheel bearings need greasing, have you ever heard of this? 3 Answers
The noise sounds to me like it stuck in wrong gear. You know like when u drive a stick, and it in 3rd, when it should be in 4th. It wasn't marking this noise til that used engine was put in.

I bought EGR Valve & Catalytic Converter for 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8L with 225k on Friday, Saturday I had it installed, I should of done the EGR myself just I'm not good with those things & didn't know if I replaced the EGR before the Catalytic Converter if that would mess anything up one before the other as I don't want to be stranded. Only thing is after those 2 things were replaced it still runs like crap. Suggestions? I've asked around. I've been told to get it hooked up to a computer. I contacted another mechanic in MN & he told me take the throttle body off & clean well & then replace.??? 8 Answers

ive got an issue with my car. i have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. on Thursday I preformed an engine degrease and sense then my fans won't run, my car uses more gas then it should (and by that i mean when i tap my gas peddel i go up to 3000 RPM and slowly drop back down), and my engine temperature gauge only goes up. it used to bounce around Ive narrowed that last one down to the Thermostats. despite whats going on if i unplug my engine temperature sensor it the fans and the gas work normal again. Ive already replaced the sensor so im up for any suggestions. 2 Answers
