low coolant indicator flashing when its hot.
The temperature gauge on this 2002 Pontiac Grand prix was always at or
slightly higher of the first long mark. It is about half way to the 210F mark.
Now it is goes up to or over 210, and when it gets close to the 210F the low
coolant level indicator lights start flashing. It is off when it's cold, but start
flashing when its warm up above the usual temperature.
Coolant level is fine, the coolant system wasn't drained for repair or anything,
so it cannot be air pocket in the system.
Cooling fans do not kicks on at or around 210F but they come on when AC is
on or disconnect the ETC sensor. When cooling fans on due to AC the
temperature drops back to the normal level.
I replaced the ETC, but still the same.
The coolant level sensor flashing can indicate other problem than low
coolant level?
A bad coolant level indicator can block the cooling fans to kick on?
I can't figured out what could be the problem.
Anyone else have some idea?
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you!
