I changed the water pump on my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8 NA and in the process accidently cut the starter wire a bit. It worked for a day now it won't start. Is it possible to buy just the wire or do i need a whole new starter

If you cut the insulation you should wrap it in elec. tape , the large wire is hot at all times so you definitely don't want that grounding out . better check your work .
