My car is screeching when I turn the key

My car is a 04 pontiac grand prix with a 3.6 liter v6
not super charged when we turn the key it
screeches and won't turn over. Any thoughts or
answers to this?

We replaced the starter. Now it does the same thing but we just ran the car this morning.
