A/C blower motor
I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. I replaced my blower
motor 2 1/2 months ago with a brand new one. A month
later it went out. The wire at the connector was burnt
through so, I replaced it again. Now my fan is cutting off
and on again. I got underneath and wiggled the wires and it
came back on. But I noticed that after about 30 seconds of
running the wires and the connector got so hot that I could
not hold them. I'm not sure, but I don't think that's normal.
The only wires that are hot are the ones coming from the
fan to the connector. I'm thinking a short is causing the
over heating or the wires are not the correct gage. I'm
assuming that's how the first fan got fried.
