Should I consider buying 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Asked by Shana Feb 24, 2021 at 01:19 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

What questions should I ask when thinking of buying a
2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP? What should I look at on the
car specifically? Is $1,100 @ 230,000 miles decent or is this
car at its final stretch, any help would be very appreciated.
The car i have now has put me through the ringer and I
finally am able to get a different car.

Thanks

Can you afford to lose your money the next day after buying it? Don't expect reliability from a car with a 1/4 million miles on it.

Your not getting much for $1100, maybe a couple months before the car needs some major repairs. If you can get a year out of it, you will be lucky. Check the tires and brakes, fluids and take it for a test drive. Today you need to spend at least $3K to get something decent, but also have an extra grand for repairs.

Offer less and figure yourself lucky if you get one years use before you scrap it. The most I would pay IF it drove well might be $800.

You'll be throwing your money away! That vehicle has already exceeded its expected life span! It's on borrowed time!! Keep shopping!! Hope that helps! Jim
