2005 Pontiac Grand Prix power steering troubles

Last night I was driving through some really
heavy rain and at one point my power steering
went out. I haven’t had any messages come
up. The steering also becomes easier to
control when I’m going faster but almost
impossible when going slow. Any ideas on
what went wrong?

First thing to do is check the level of your power steering fluid. If its low, fill it up then start the car and turn the wheels full left to full right a few times to help get any air out of the system, then check the fluid level again and top it up if necessary. After that I would suspect a problem with the power steering rack, but you'll need to do some more proper trouble shooting to make sure.
