2005 Grand Prix: High beams not working

Asked by jbruckner17 May 06, 2015 at 12:57 PM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix I just got. My brights don't work. When I flip the
brights switch, the blue light on the cluster comes on, but my brights don't. The low
beams don't turn off or flicker, they just stay the same.

Checked fuses and relays. All fine. Not sure if related or not, but the low beam relay clicks every time the lows come on

I would replace both relays #34 & #35. The lo beam relay is notorious for going out in these cars and intermittently shutting off the lo beams wile driving & eventually lo beam failure, lo beam relay pointed out in picture and hi beam relay is above it. The lo beam relay is located under the hood in the fuse box labeled #35 DCM Module. I got mine from; rockauto.com ACDELCO Part # 15016745 Main Relay GM Original Equipment One of our most popular parts LOW BEAM
