My security system in my car goes off from unlocking it. The lock&unlock and trunk button don't work on my remote so I can't reset my system. What do I do?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I don't want to spend $200 fixing my remote
that partially still works. Any advice would
be appreciated.

Yes just replaced it. The dealership told me I'd need a whole new one but I'm hoping I just have to change the pad on it
