overheating and why are the fans not comming on when it gets hot also is there a way to check the fan relay?

First, you will need to check the fan good functionality. Ulplug the radiator fan and connect the wires directly to the battery. Check if the fan is running. If not, that's the fan needed to be replaced.

I have had same occurance not in the same car but other electronic fans cooling off the radiator.make sure your fluid level in radiator is correct. If not the antifreeze won't reached the censor causing the fans not to respond. Or simple as the relay is bad. Check fuses!!
