I have a grand prix base model 06 and I want to swap the engine out for an 06 or newer supercharged engine.. how much do I need to adjust for it to fit well as far as set up and mechanically??

I would not install an older engine unless it meets the same smog standards. There may be more to installing a super charged engine than just the engine. There may be other parts unique to the supercharged cars like the transmission so do more research. Get the computer and wiring harness that goes with the engine and if you can get the whole donor car so you can get other parts that you will end up needing.

Yes, you need to swap in the entire drive train including the transmission, all the electronics and the fuel system. All those parts are unique and specific to the supercharged engine. Bolting it in will be the least of your worries. What you really need to do is buy a GTP. There are tons of nice well kept ones around and they are cheap. You'll have a fun car to drive immediately instead of five years from now... or never. Spend all the money you're going to spend on the swap on some upgrades to the GTP that you're going to buy and you'll really have something.
