Take it into your dealer. It should still be covered under the factory warranty.

I am in the same situation. I have a 2006 base model Grand Prix and my cruise will "kick out" and then work intermittantly. Everytime I bring it to the dealership it does not act up and no error codes are found. I finally got one of the service managers to take a ride with me one morning when it was acting up. Long story short, they are not sure what is causing it but they are replacing the tach sensor as they feel that may be the problem.

I got word from my dealership that they replaced the tach sensor and my cruise is still malfunctioning. They are now going to replace the switch assembly as they feel that may also be contributing to the problem.
Hello Bryan, sorry took a while to get back to you. Ok so far I have had a new brake switch replaced. Cruise control apparently worked for tech right after work but went out next day when I tried to use. They have now ordered another part ( body control module )They say that this part wakes everything up in the car when you start up however cruise control was not responding. I am also having problems with no reverse lights and my automatic trunk lock will not open. I hope this new part that is on order will fix these problems as well. It seems that your dealer may be taking a different route, keep me updated as I will do the same.
