Found this 2006 grand prix gxp for 4 grand, it has
170k miles on it. Good idea or no?

be prepared for transmission slipppage. it can be overahaul time. also, could be time for a timing chain soon.

Look into what service record it has. That will tell you a lot. If the seller can't produce one, I would stay away.

I've had my 06 pontiac Grandprix gt for 10years, and my Opinion is Do Not Spend 4k on Any Grandprix. Nothing but problems. Electrical issues, wiring issues, headlight probs, traction control issues, on and on. Sorry
