Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can't make left turns. Steering to the leftside is very tight. What can cause this problem? Is it safe for me to drive about  20 hwy miles to dealership? Only 1 or 2 left turns I would need to make.

you need check power steering hoses for kinks & propper fluid level . if all that is ok , the rack & pinion might need replacing.

I'm having problems when turning right, sounds like a grinning sound metal against metal? I'm know why now Pontiac went out of business. My 2006 GP GXP is a piece of junk........hope to unload this hunk of junk soon.
