My Subaru 98 forrest sounds like I am dragging a pipe.There no pipe hanging. And the sound gets a bit louder until I come a complete stop. I am worried could it be my brakes. TOTALLY STUMPED!! I have a 1998 Subaru Forester S. Had a miss fire on # 1 cylinder. Put in new plugs, wires, coil pack, miss fire is gone...BUT... then the car sputters when you push the throttle. If you ease into the throttle it's ok. Idles fine. Other new parts we have tried to fix this are... cam sensor, TPS, fuel filter, and cleaned the EGR. Any ideas what is causing this? 8 Answers

my 2005 suburu forester has 53,000 original miles on it and I am the original owner. The car has had its routine services by the dealer since I bought it new. Recently my check engine light and cruise control green light flashing with the AT oil temp coming on after driving over 50 mph.
