1999 forester head gasket/timing belt

Asked by chickensoup Dec 09, 2016 at 07:37 PM about the 1999 Subaru Forester L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is $2600 a reasonable price for this work?
Worth it?

That sounds high. What exactly is included in that price? A full rebuild of the heads? Your car may only be worth 3 to 4 thousand when you are done so unless you are going to put a lot more miles on it you might want to reconsider. I would also shop around for another price.
