Instructions for opening the hood on a 1991 corvette with broken cable

Robert, there is no hard and fast instruction for this usually. I have done it before by taking a stiff wire, like a coat hanger and straightening it out. then bend a very small hook in the end with needle nose pliers. lay under the front of the car and see if you can locate where the cable pulls on the latch. hook that spot and pull. worked for me once on another chevy model. good luck. The Chevy dealers have a tool made to open the hood with a broken cable. Basically it is as described above, a long very stiff wire with a hook on it to grab the latch.
