I lost my manual for a 1992 Corvette Convertible and I am having trouble putting the top down (ragtop or soft top). I know to release it from the winshield, but the back won't budge. What do I do?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am having trouble putting the top down on my 1992 Corvette Convertible and I know to release it from the two sides at the windshield and I know of the yellow button that I push to release the back portion, but the back of the window is bolted and I can't release it or pull it up.  Thanks for your Advice.

There is a handle under the back cover, by the yellow button (I think this is true of all C4 convertibles. It' how my '89 convertible works). You need to pull the handle to release the pins that hold down the top to the rear deck.
