Asked by Sharlakay6482 Oct 08, 2018 at 04:08 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased a 2006 SSC Chevy cobalt yesterday, it
runs great, sounds great, and everything
works....this morning I take kids 2 miles down the
road to school and my check engine light comes
on.....where do I begin on, funding out why that
engine light is on now?

I've also had that happen to me, although it was with my old Chevy Camaro. Check something very simple as a first step - the gas cap. If it is not snugly screwed back in place, the light can go on. If not that, it could be the O2 sensor, which is what I had with my Cobalt.
