what can cause air conditioner compressor to kick on and off repeatably causing air to be cold then not cold again and again

i have a 2006 chevy colbalt, my air conditioning gets cold then warm every
few minutes, i was told that the compressor is kiking on and off , can you tell
me what causes it,,,ive been told its low on free, on to the oxygen/heater
sensor, or compressor is bad, it seems for the first 30 minutes of driving the
air works good sometimes the starts going from warm to cold. thank you

Pay $85 and have it evacuated, checked for leaks 30mm of vacuum ...and filled with the correct oil PAG,# and amount. Then filled to the correct weight ONLY proper way, of refrigerant 134A. That's what I suggest..
