I have a 1998 Subaru Legacy l wagon with 4 speed automatic transmission with 124000 miles on it. I am being told that there is a leak somewhere in my brake line, and just to be able to seein my brake

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Would the fuel tank have to be dropped just to pin point the area the leak is
coming from?

How did this conversation come up? during an Inspection? Oil change place? Did they show you wet areas under the car as visual evidence? Is your Subaru rusty underneath at all? I think my foresters (03&04) have the hard lines (including fuel) going into the cabin and then near the back seat they go back out. There shouldn't be any inside connections, I would think. I'd like to know more before I try to give any direction (just my preference). I'm subscribed and will try to respond asap.
