Question type: Maintenance & Repair

#1 What would make a 2.2 liter miss on cylinder 3 if it is not electrical?  #2  Also it uses about 2 quarts of oil every 900 miles but no leaks, not sure if it smokes.  If any of these are terminal how much for a used motor?

if its not electrical it could be the spark plug its self, or that the timing is off. as for the burning oil, it could be that there is too much wear and the oil is getting through the rings. you may want to try a thicker oil which could help prevent it from going through the rings and burning. otherwise i would bring it to a mechanic.

if there is a smoke, then it depends on the color of it. if it's more blue, then its rings. if it's black, then it's fuel. my english is not so good, so i can't explain... :) also for consuming more oil, be carefull. & make sure it doesn't mix with the antifreeze. used motor in KZ costs 700$. in Dubai 400$. mostly it consumes more, because of the rings & valve stem seal. (i don't know if in english it makes sence, i just translated through google translator... :))). in our country the repair in total would cost about 500-600$. in US i guess the service prices are way higher?!
