Is the regular unleaded "85" octane in Colorado good enough?!!

maybe if you retard your timing.. but really, no idea. Are you asking because it's cheaper? Or the only thing offered?

85 is really low. Your owners manual will tell you what the minimum octane is but it is probably 87. Even the gas cap may show the correct octane. It is possible that they sell this crap gas in high altitude areas only so you may want to ask Subaru about using this gas in the mountains.
