2007 engine in a 2006 Car?

Hi, this question has been stumping me for quite some time but I hope this
works.
I have an 06 Chevy equinox LT AWD, but here's the thing I bought an 07
engine for it. Same everything, equinox, lt, awd but I was wondering if I can
use that engine. Or that I need to specifically have an 06 engine.
Please help, been stumped on this for weeks

check with car-part.com to see if that is correct replacement~
They are probably the same but the best source would be Chevy dealer or on-line forum that focuses on Chevrolet or, more specifically, the Equinox model.
The engine work for you because I have the send problem
I'm wondering same thing because there are differences like upper plenum, front tappet cover, alternator and cam sensor that I found so far
