Should I repair this car or let her go?

Asked by Lifeisasong Mar 02, 2020 at 08:04 PM about the 2000 Subaru Outback Limited Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1999 Subaru is overheating.
Second engine 4 years ago.
Thermostat replaced and radiator cap
replaced and it still over heats.
Pressure test says the gaskets are
fine. Do I pay 1200 for thermostat and
water pump kit or let her go?

I would let it go. Just the timing belt kit with water pump is not much over $100.

I agree, let it go! The vehicle is 21 years old and God only knows what is going to break next and leave you stranded somewhere! Hope that helps! Jim
