Cracked inner front transmission seal. As rebuilding the 4EAT transmission is rarely successful, your only choice is to replace with used newer unit, at $1500-2k total. In the meantime you CAN try adding a small bottle of transmission leak seal conditioner to the transmission AFTER draining and refilling with fresh ATF (3.5 qts required). Over a week or so the conditioned may expand a SHRUNKEN front piston seal to allow reasonable operation; but a CRACKED seal cannot be chemically improved. So try draining the ATF and replenishing the 3.5 qts with a bottle of conditioner and keep your fingers crossed as the days and weeks go by. If no improvement you should trash this antique.
