Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm told that coolant in your oil will destroy your main bearings. I'm considering
doing the head gasket job but don't want to find out about the bearings going
bad after spending $$$$$. How would I know?

while you are in there, just rebuild the whole engine- the bearings are worn just from regular driving after 15 years- if you think a Subaru is worth it-
