im replacing the drivers side window regulator on my 2001 outback sport, its giving me hassle, what is the trick? window is disconnected from regulator, cant seem to get it all lined up. help!!!

I'm not familiar with the regulator yet. I did a motor replacement on my 03 forester a few months ago though. There are some youtube videos (at least for the forester) and it may be similar in nature. And I wonder.. (again, not familiar) but is it easier to install the regulator, make sure it works with the motor, etc. Run it to the top (closed position) and then install your glass? I know with the forester, you have to mess with the window holds with vice grips.. or at least some people have to. One thing that I tried to do with my motor job was to loosen most of the bolts to allow wiggle room but not get anything out of alignment. You can also add a photo if there is a specific area you are having trouble with.
