Transmission started shifting hard

Asked by Angel Jul 07, 2017 at 05:16 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet HHR LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

No noticeable previous symptoms. Everything has been fine as far as I know. No warning lights either. My HHR had been sitting for 3 days in 100 degree heat. I go out to do some errands, start the car and wait a couple minutes. I put it into drive and the whole car jerked a little. I start to drive and it jerks every time it shifts. I make a stop at a store. Come back to my car to go home, and now it's shifting fine again. What could be the deal here?

Same deal hear. Had codes PO 757, PO 303, PO 700, no shift 3rd or 4th, converterclutch stuck on.. I noticed melted wiring hotness laying on the exhaust manifold lucky there was no fire. But my mother doesn't have another car she's 64 and I'm just trying to make it safe for her
