Check engine light on steady in my 06 Chevy impala garage said code has to do with fuel actuator there about 5 codes they are saying because my battery died the computer has to be reset is this true ?

Was your check engine light on before your battery died? They should of given you a more precise explanation or list of the code numbers, and they should of cleared all codes. If you had a non related (to battery) problem the check engine would of come on again. If you have an Autozone store or other auto parts store nearby, there is a very good chance that they will read your codes and clear your codes for free. Make a few phone calls. The part stores are not pushy like repair garages and you won't get talked into something you might not need. They will tell you the code numbers which you can look up in Google, or ask about here. best of luck
