I have a key but it won't go in the lock on the door it goes half way in and won't turn!

Try spraying WD40 in the lock and move the key in and out a couple times. There is probably a little corrosion in the lock from not getting used.

Just got a new battery July 4th. My car was working just fine and now I can't even turn the car on to release into gear. My keys are won't come out the ignition. It is a Chevy impala 2008 ss. What should I do to release my keys and be able to shift my gear?

Use a hanger or put the key in the door and use a mallet something might be stuck
