Why doesn't my car accelerates when I press the gas pedal

your automobile possibly used drive by wire, this means unlike proper automobiles of the past your automobile uses electricity to operate the air/gas inlet unit situated on top of the engine chances are its the linkage between the 2 components being gas pedal and air/gas inlet unit

This is caused by ,low fuel pressure or the catilac converter being stopped up,start by replacing fuel filter,if this does not fix the issue,have the fuel pressure checked could be the fuel pump,next would be the catilac converter,if it is bad it will glow and throw off a lot of heat.

It is your ECTB fuse, this fuse goes from the computer to your throttle position sensor, it's a 15amp buss fuse located in your power distribution box marked ECTB or possibly hidden under the left front kick panel, simply replace the fuse and your on your way, do not use a higher rated fuse!

On my 2000 chevy malibu LS, I'm in park with the engine running, iam pressing the accelerator, at high rpm and there is a missing or up and down in the acceleration; What is the problem?

I got a question I put in a new oxygen sensor an I put everything back an still my gas peddle still wouldn't work it wouldn't accelerate at all

there is a recall for 2018 Malibu LT for ECM software to be reprogrammed because it has become corrupted and it will cause car to go up in RPMS while not accelerating and even stalling. You are an accident waiting to happen. . Just purchased my car new with 46 miles on it and went on two errands totaling less than 200 miles when I couldn't accelerate from a stopped position. I had my gas pedal floored and cars were honking from behind me to get out of the way. A truck almost ran into me while I was a sitting duck then it started to accelerate.. The recall came out on 9-6-2019. Take your call in and demand the recall. The recall will say the faulty ECM might cause the things I mentioned before. IT DOES. MY car was updated with the software for the ECM and now I have take off power
