Driver side window switch not working and Burning up switches

When I put a new switch cluster in it would
not work and after a few minutes started to
smell

There is a recall on this issue, the recall does not cover all years, however it does in fact affect all years. It can cause a fire, call the dealer, I believe 06' is covered.
