I have a 1991 Toyota 4runner and after you run it till the motor warms up it starts spitting and sputtering trying to die and if it does then it's hard to get it crank back until it cools.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We changed the fuel filter, the cold pack sensor (I think that's what it's called) and some other kind of sensor on the motor, also put a new caldic  converter on it and changed the plugs and wires and pretty much everything we could think off and it still did not fix it! If anybody knows what might be wrong  with it I'd really appreciate it, Thank you and God Bless!

if you are distrustful of the black butyl rubber leaking and cracking as to be expected in a 1991 vehicle, you can replace those leaking butyl black rubber ones with silicone replacements for...yes some money, but you'll only have to do this once~

Sounds like the computer is derping on the fuel mixture. Check Oxygen sensor, temp sensor, and manifold pressure sensor. Why is the first thing a shop wants to sell a catalytic converter? Someone's trying to turn work orders into lotto tickets.

let us know...the thing what determines the temperature...remember the old themal coil heat-riser and butterfly choke mechanism...we've evolved down to a mosquito biscuit~ ain't life good~!
