After my passenger and I were rear ended by a F250 the passenger airbag turned off and warning light came on

There's a module that governs air bags and seat belt restraints, if it's been triggered it needs to be reset, check with a mechanic ir collision center as the module has to be reset properly to ensure it works.

Thanks KenF the shop that repaired it is telling me insurance won’t pay because airbags on side and I was hit in rear. But light popped on when hit is there anything I can find to submit to insurance company?

Call the claims adjuster and keep pushing your claim, as the saying goes, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Any impact affects the module and if the light won't go off, then it's telling you something is not right with the system.
