chevy aveo stalling

Asked by notmechanicallyincli... Nov 18, 2017 at 05:41 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Aveo LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

recently my 2005 chevy aveo started revving
really high when i start it. even when i hit the
gas real quick and let off, which normally
gets it to rev down, it keeps revving high
upon starting.  seemed to run well
otherwise. now it has stopped revving high
when it starts but has started dying out
after i put it in drive. any ideas? seems like
this year has been bas car wise with thia
thing. since i bought it, the only real issue i
had was having to replace the button under
the gas pedal that kept putting it  in hold.
that was it. one time. no other mechanical
problems
any ideas?

I have the same problem. I did 'computer check' in the workshop and the results explained that there was a problem with the camshaft sensor. I replaced it with a new one for US $ 10, and Aveo returned to normal.
