Asked by BrucePete Jun 15, 2016 at 09:24 AM about the 1999 Toyota Avalon 4 Dr XL Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The sound quit while listening to the radio. Radio still acts like it is working. Told to check my amp, but I looked behind the glove box, under the passenger set, and in the trunk. No luck. Fuses for the radio look OK, just not sure what to try.

Found it connected to the back of the radio. This is the info of the part: Item# 88650-07010 AMPLIFIER HVAC Control Module. I got a used one and it still didn't fix my problem. Ended up replacing the radio and everything works now.
